THIS PROJECT INVOLVES REMOVAL OF ASBESTOS MATERIALS, DO NOT REQUEST PLANS NOW. A SOLICITATION NOTICE WILL BE PUBLISHED BEFORE INVITATIONS ARE ISSUED. The work includes Replacement of two plus/minus 15,000 gpm cooling towers with one cooling tower sized for full test capability of both jet engine test cells, the removal of six quench water pumps and motors. Removal of this equipment will require the abatement of asbestos containing material by a licensed asbestos contractor. The new equipment shall consist of one 4,250 gpm cooling tower, four 900 gpm, 75 hp pumps. Following tentative dates apply: Issue invitations 2/96, open bids 4/96, complete contract 11/96.
