labor, material and equipment necessary to fabricate 26 stainless steel
quick acting watertight scuttles. Delivery shall be made to NESU
Portsmouth, Portsmouth, VA. Work shall commence upon award. Performance
period is scheduled for 60 days. There will be a non-refundable charge
of $10 in the form of certified check or money order made payable to
the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings and publications. Orders
must be received within ten (10) days prior bid opening. The proposed
contract listed here is a Total Small Business Set Aside. for Minority,
Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of
Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization has programs to assist minority women-women and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000.00 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
