The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue orders on mulitple occasions over the period of Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-96-G-5209 with Westinghouse Norden Systems, 75 Maxess Road, Melville, NY 11747-3182. Orders will be issued for repair parts and repair effort (including emergency repair), alteration, overhaul, refurbishment and maintenance of the AN\SPS-40B/C/D/E Radar, including all materials and services incidental to such work. In appropriate cases, any repair, alteration or overhaul may be handled by issuance of an order to cover opening and inspection of equipment by the Contractor to determine the extent of repair, alteration or overhaul work which the Contractor may be required to provide. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). Westinghouse Norden Systems is the orginial equipment manufacturer and sole producer of AN\SPS-40/B/C/D/E Radar. It is one of a limited number of responsible sources which possess the knowledge, experience, tooling and equipment necessary to support the required AN\SPS-40 Radar tasks, and no other supplies or services will satisfy the Navy's requirements.
