The Volpe Center is soliciting Stratec, Stoneham, MA on a sole source basis for a simplified acquisition purchase order to provide: short term research in telecommunications reform as well as changes in FCC regulatory procedures. This research will include; (1) review of available literature as it pertains to telecommunication legislation and FCC policies and regulations on transportation (2) review telecommunication bills or legislation to assess potential impact on the transportation industry (3) review FCC administrative and policy changes relative to impacts on the transportation industry (4) support these reviews through discussions with appropriate personnel and (5) provide a report summarizing the findings of above tasks. Stratec has the unique knowledge base, facilities, and experienced personnel necessary to successfully conduct the work.
