Pursuant to the Waiver Terms and Conditions as issued by the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, for the welfare reform program ``Ohio: A State of Opportunity'', the Director of the Ohio Department of Human Services (ODHS) gives notice of the Department's intent to evaluate the Communities of Opportunity project. The goal of the project is to promote economic self-sufficiency among residents of economically depressed communities who are recipients of AFDC and Food Stamp benefits. The project was implemented January 1, 1996 and will operate through September 30, 2004. ODHS estimates total evaluation expenditures of $1,600,000 for this project.
