C -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY ENGINEERING-ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION SURVEILLANCE, SPECIAL STUDIES, AND OTHER SERVICES SOL 072976-96-A-0058 DUE 030896. Indefinite quantity engineering-architect (E/A) services for design; preparation of contract documents with options for contract administration and inspection services for repair & alteration and other projects; and special studies. Guaranteed minimum amount of $5,000 within a five (5) year period. Services shall be provided for the Las Vegas District, which includes all postal owned and leased facilities in the entire state of Nevada and Zip Code area 961 in California. The term of the contract shall be for two years, with three (3) one year renewal options. Individual work orders will be issued, and each work order will be negotiated as an individual project. Majority of work orders will be for small construction projects that range from $2,000 to 100,000. Work orders for any one project cannot exceed $100,000, and the total contract cannot exceed $500,000 for each 12-month contract period. The total contract amount shall not exceed $2,500,000 for the five year period. Firms that have the qualifications to perform the services described above are invited to submit a completed SF 255, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Projects, a completed SF 254, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire, and a completed SF 254 for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above. The selection will be conducted by using the submitted SF 255 and the SF 254s. Interested firms with more than one office must indicate on their SF 255, the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Two or more contracts are anticipated; minimum of one for the Las Vegas, NV area and minimum of one for the Reno, NV area. Firms responding to this advertisement will be evaluated in accordance with the following criteria: 1) Office located within a 30 mile radius of Las Vegas OR Reno, Nevada; 2) Firms experienced in small repair and alteration projects, including, but not limited to: architectural barriers, HVAC, roof repair/replacement, paving repairs/replacements, and site adaptation of existing USPS standard plans for new facilities; 3) firm staff of five (5) to twenty (20) personnel (in the office that the work will be performed) preferred, with a minimum of two (2) professional Engineers specializing in mechanical (HVAC), or electrical, or structural engineering, preferably a combination of two disciplines and one (1) in each of the engineering disciplines, such as: civil, electrical, mechanical (HVAC), structural, and architectural (architectural and some engineering disciplines may be staff personnel or consultants); 4) firms who are experienced with unit price schedules; and 5) availability of in-house AutoCADD Release 13. capability. E/A firms will be considered as local only if their sole office is in the local geographical area or they have a local branch office and all the architectural design, coordination, and management of the project will be performed in that office. There is no restriction on the geographical location of consultants. The contract contains a requirements for firms to provide evidence of current insurance of $200,000 of errors and omissions per claim. Participation of Minority-Owned Businesses is encouraged. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for this project.
