C -- AUSTIN, TX - EXPANSION OF AN EXISTING FACILITY - PROCESSING AND DISTRIBUTION CENTER SOL 475450-96-A-6009 DUE 032696 POC Rita J. Williams, Purchasing Specialist, 901/747-7655. A new addition of approximately 60,000 square feet added to the north side of the existing P&DC located at 8225 Cross Park Drive, Austin, TX, 78710-9998. Included is a new workroom area with an adjacent enclosed ten-bay dock, plus one ramped bay platform area. The construction consists of concrete piers, concrete joists, concrete floor, steel columns and beams, steel joists, metal deck with gravel surfaced built-up roof over rigid board insulation. CMU exterior walls with Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) at selected walls and plaster finish over CMU at exterior with insulation on interior sides at other walls and CMU interior partitions. LOG's are extended from the existing facilities into the new area with additional breakouts as required. New mechanical equipment will be roof-mounted. The new employee entrance area shall be landscaped. The new docks require the addition of concrete pavement. The entire facility will remain in operation throughout the course of construction. Existing facility shall be maintained secured and weatherproof during the entire course of construction. Offers will be evaluated technically as follows: (1) Expedited Schedule, (2) Architect/Engineer Firm, (3) Construction Contractor, (4) Past Performance, (5) Staffing/Resources, (6) Experience, and (7) Project Team. Issue date for the above project is February 16, 1996, Return date for the above project is March 26, 1996, Performance Time is 180 calendar days, the Estimated Cost Range is between $3,500,000 to $4,100,000.
