This procurement is unrestricted. The work consists of all necessary site work and construction of a 7500SF antenna test facility at the Newport Naval Complex, Newport, RI. The facility is a single story cast in place concrete/concrete masonry building with a shallow salt water pool on the roof. The enclosed area below and salt water pool consists of office, laboratory and staging space. The foundation of the facility shall be supported by concrete piles. Soil boring data is available. The building shall be located within close proximity of the waterfront and a salt water intake and discharge are required. The work shall also include special foundations for three 70' radius wooden arches. The facility shall be complete with lighting, HVAC, and fire protection as shown on the design drawings. The SIC code is 1542 and the annual size standard is $17.0 million. This is a firm fixed price contract. Estimated cost range: between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
