9533, 215-897-1261. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division,
Ship Systems Engineering Station, is seeking general information from
manufacturers of fluorescent dye refrigerant leak detection systems.
These systems generally consist of dyes, ultraviolet lamp, and dye
injection equipment which may be used in shipboard refrigeration and
air conditioning plants to pinpoint refrigerant leakage. The Navy plans
to evaluate these systems and ultimately prepare a Commercial Item
Description to allow for competitive procurement. This is not a request
for proposal and does not commit the government to the award of a
contract. Any comments provided may/may not be included in a formal
solicitation. The government will not pay for any information received
in response to this request nor will the government compensate any
respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information
provided to the government. Interested manufacturers should forward
product literature including technical/performance specifications
