A new addition to the north side of the existing Processing and Distribution Center located at 2400 Texas Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana 71102-9997. The project consists of a new building addition of approximately 63,000 square feet on the North end of the existing P & D Center and the adding onto the existing employee parking lot. The demolition portion involves partial removal of a parking and drive area, and the relocation of some utilities. Partial demolition of the existing facilities, in which some materials contain asbestos or lead, is also required. The new construction consists of a concrete foundation, steel frame structure, masonry and gypsum board walls and partitions, and a built-up roof. The interior spaces consist of a workroom and dock area with asphalt floor planking, support areas, and maintenance spaces. The project will also include a new electrical sub-panel and it's distribution system, a universal wiring system, plumbing, fire sprinkler system, sitework, utility work, and fencing. The HVAC system will utilize the existing chillers but require new piping to the air handlers (located in the mezzanine areas), a roof-top unit is also needed. Issue date for the above project is February 16, 1996. Return date for the above project is March 26, 1996. Performance Time is 180 calendar days. Estimated Cost Range is between $3,750,000 to $4,500,000. A Preproposal Conference will be held on March 6, 1996, at 10:00 A.M. at that facility.
