M -- CONCESSIONS PERMITS SOL LP-YELL-XXX-96 DUE 042096 POC Contact Point, Anita Varley, (307)344-2160, Contracting Officer, Edna Good, (307)344-2270 Public notice is hereby given that the National Park Service proposes to award up to 55 concession permits for concessioners to provide guided saddle and pack stock tours for the public at Yellowstone National Park for a period of four (4) years from January 1, 1996 through December 31, 1999. The National Park Service recognizes the current 55 concessioners' rights of preference to renew their prior permits. Interested parties should contact the Superintendent, Yellowstone National Park for information as to requirements of the proposed contract. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The existing 55 concessioners have performed their obligations to the satisfaction of the Director under existing permits which expired by limitation of time on December 31, 1995, and therefore, pursuant to the provisions of section 5 of the Act of October 9, 1965, 79 Stat. 969; 16 U.S.C. section 20 are entitled to be given preference in negotiation of a new contract as defined in 36 CFR, section 51.5. The Director will consider and evaluate all offers received as a result of this notice. All offers including those of the existing concessioners, must be received by the Superintendent, Yellowstone Naitonal Park not later than the sixty (60th) day following publication of this notice.
