System (MTS) Information from the Health Care Financing Administration
(HCFA). As previously announced, HCFA has established the MTS Bulletin
Board System (BBS) to provide electronic access to information about
the MTS project to interested parties. The MTS BBS can be accessed by
dialing (410) 786-0196. HCFA has also placed the information posted to
the MTS BBS on the Internet. HCFA's address on the Internet is:
http://www.hcfa.gov. In addition, effective February 15, 1996, HCFA
will begin to make available in the HCFA Library, Central Building,
C2-07-13, 7500 Security Blvd., Baltimore, MD 21244, copies of material
pertaining to the MTS initiative. Materials that will be available
include: 1) copies of developmental material produced by GTE Government
Services, Inc. in developing the MTS Systems Requirements Document
(SRD), 2) material relating to the System Design Alternative, 3)
printed copies of material posted to the MTS BBS, and 4) additional MTS
information as determined by HCFA. It is anticipated that SRD
developmental material will be provided to the HCFA Library on a
monthly basis at the beginning of each month. Other material will be
deposited on a flow basis. An announcement will be made on the MTS BBS
when MTS material that is not available on the MTS BBS is placed in
the HCFA Library. The announcement will indicate the date of placement
and provide a short description of the material. The MTS material will
be available at the HCFA Library at the above address for onsite review
only. No materials may be removed. Admission to the HCFA Library will
be by advance confirmed reservation only. For reservations, please call
John Amrhein, (410) 786-7447. The HCFA Library is in a secured Federal
building with restricted access. Visitors to the HCFA Library must
enter through the Central Building guard station, where a badge will be
issued to each individual by name. No more than two (2) reviewers for
any organization will be admitted at one time. Each visitor will be
required to deposit a driver's license at the guard station for the
duration of the visit. While in the building, visitors will only have
access to the HCFA Library. MTS material may be reviewed Monday through
Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The Library will
close promptly at 4:00 p.m. There will be two (2) copies of material
available for review. Because reviewers of the MTS material may be
potential offerors for MTS related procurements, no questions will be
answered regarding the content of the MTS material in the HCFA Library.
