The project's scope of work includes replacing the existing generator with a new 1500 KW condensing/backpressure turbine generator. The replacement to include all structural modifications to support the generator, cooling towers and other appurtenances. The work also includes demolition of the existing generator and all associated appurtenances, demolition of fuel tank ''A'' in accordance with USEPA and NYSDEC regulations, removal and abatement of asbestos and lead based paint, repairs to existing substation and removal of two esisting river water turbine pumps. The contractor will be required to properly phase and coordinate replacement activities in order to allow USMA Power Plant to continue operations. Loss of operations would result in massive power outages throughout the entire USMA reservation. Estimated Performance Period: 550 Calendar Days. Estimated Dollar Value: $2,000,000 to 3,000,000.
