The US Navy intends to negotiate a contract for the design, development, manufacture and delivery of TPSs and associated data, for the AAS-38 FLIR WRAs used on the F/A-18C/D aircraft. The TPSs will be utilized with the CASS tester and will fault detect, isolate and validate repair actions on the AAS-38 FLIR WRAs. This requirement is for supplies which the US Navy does not own sufficient and accurate specifications, drawings and related data, to permit full and open competition. The US Navy intends to procure these CASS TPSs from McDonald Douglas Aircraft, St Louis, Mo, under authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1 with an approved Justification and Approval (J&A) to follow this announcement. Items to be covered by the procurement include: one (1) First Article Test (FAT) unit and thirty-two (32) production units, with an option quantity of up to ten (10) units; development tests and related data; technical, administrative and financial data; Integrated Logistics Support and Data; Technical Manuals; interim spare parts; on-site verification; engineering technical services and related data; spare and repair parts and related data; repair of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE); and System Problem Reports (SPRs) and related data.
