41 -- REPLACE PNEUMATIC CONTROLS DUE 040296 POC Contact Leroy King at (404)842-6510 The work of this project includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of the HVAC controls and air duct/controlled devices for Building 15, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Facilities, Chamblee Campus, Georgia. This replacement consists, in general, of the following aspects: a. Replacement of building HVAC pneumatic controls with electronic components as part of a new Building Automation System which controls Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Environmental Temperature Control Systems, utilizing the latest micro chip technology, computer software, computer hardware, graphic display and wiring devices. b. Removal and disposal of existing airflow control terminal units. c. Installation of new manual air-balancing dampers. d. Adding building lighting controls to the new Building Automation System. e. Replacing two (2) exterior doors and hardware. f. Removal of hazardous materials are not a part of this project. All known asbestos removal will be completed under a separate project before the execution of this contract. Solicitation will be issued on or about April 1, 1996 to Integrated Systems Inc., 2300 West Park Place Boulevard, Suite 158, Stone Mountain, Georgia 30087 on a sole source basis. Integrated Systems, Inc. Is the only known firm capable of providing the above requirement. Authority: FAR 6.302-1, Citation 41 USC 253(c)(1), Justification: Required equipment is available only from the original source and Integrated Systems Inc. is the only vendor authorized by the original source, American Auto Matrix (AAM) who holds all copyrights to this software and no other type of supplies will be compatible with the present system to satisfy the above requirements.
