The United States Department of Agriculture intends to add to its
existing contract, 54-3142-4-1004, with Computer Associates
International, Inc. software and software technical support for Endevor
Parallel Development Manager. Rate of use is determined by MIPS.
Alternative sources responding to this announcement may be considered
non-responsive if they offer products not priced by MIPS or offer terms
otherwise limiting USDA's use of software to process its own data and
other Agencies data. The software will be installed on IBM-compatible,
large scale, mainframe CPUs. USDA has the right to allow any
authorized end-user to access and use applications designed, developed,
maintained and operated using the software; operate and/or test at
contingency cold- and hot-site facilities and use the products to run
benchmarks on other computers. Interested parties may provide
information on their capabilities to meet this requirement. In order to
be evaluated, respondents must submit clear and convincing
documentation. The documentation must include descriptive literature
with sufficient technical information to substantiate the respondent's
ability to meet USDA's needs and pricing. This is not a request for
offers or proposals. No solicitation document exist. Requests for an
IFB or RFP will not be acknolwledged. All responses to this notice must
be received fifteen days from the date of publication of this notice.
