Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform routine Drydock and Repairs to the USCGC CONFIDENCE (WMEC 619). The work which may be performed includes but may not be limited to the following minimum items: 1. Inspect and Overhaul both Oil Distribution Boxes 2. Preserve the Transducer Hull Rings 3. Overhaul, Renew, and Test Valves 4. Inspect and Overhaul Electrohydraulic Steering 5. Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder Assemblies 6. Overhaul Anchor(s) and Anchor Chain(s) 7. Preserve Chain Locker and Sump 8. Non-destructive Coating System thickness measurements. 9. Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water 10. Temporary Logistics 11. Routine Drydocking 12. Clean Exhaust Piping for the MDE SSDG and Boiler 13. Preserve Antenna and Antenna Foundations 14. Preserve Bilges in Engine Room 15. Overhaul Ventilation Fan Motors 16. Erect Mast Staging 17. Preserve All ``White Exterior Surfaces'' 18. Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel JP-5 Fuel and Lube Oil Tanks 19. Repair Diesel Fuel Tanks 20. Renewal of A/C Salt water Piping. 21. Clean and Inspect Duplex Sea Strainers 22. Clean and Inspect Duplex Fuel Oil Strainers 23. Renew John Crane Shaft Seal Air Supply Piping 24. Provide Temporary Messing 25. Provide Temporary Berthing. The proposed contract will also contain indefinite items including but not limited to: 1. Welding Repairs 2. Destructive Coating System Thickness Measurements 3. Ultrasonic Testing 4. Additional Temporary Logistics 5. Provide additional New Diesel Fuel (100 gal. increments) 6. Renew Strut Chocking 7. Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection and holding Tanks 8. Preserve Underwater Body 9. Provide Additional Temporary Berthing. USCGC CONFIDENCE's homepier is Cape Canaveral, FL. USCGC CONFIDENCE's availability is scheduled for on or about 29 May 1996. The performance period is forty-two (42) calendar days. Large and Small Businesses are encouraged to submit bids. There are no Geographical Restrictions. Work is to be performed at the contractor's facility. Solicitation (IFB) is anticipated to be issued on or about March 08, 1996. There will be a non-refundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the United States Coast Guard for requested drawings and publications. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
