Corps Center in Nampa, Idaho. The work to be performed under this
project involves the construction of a new campus type facility to
house the Idaho Job Corps Center (presently located in Marsing, Idaho).
The site is a 16.7 acre parcel on the north side of the Idaho State
School and Hospital. Site work includes installation of underground
utilities, grading, construction of roads, parking areas, sidewalks,
and landscaping. The center will include academic, administrative,
vocational, medical/dental, recreational, food service, storage/support
and housing facilities. Construction will be accomplished under two
separate contracts (Package 1 and 2) or under one contract for both
packages (Package 3). Package 1 consists of the construction of the
Cafeteria/Culinary Arts - Building B (14,926 GSF); Education - Building
E (19,272 GSF); Vocational Education - Building F (22,859 GSF);
Maintenance/ Warehouse - Building G (13,474 GSF); Central
Heating/Cooling - Building H (1,202 GSF) and base site work for Package
1 and 2. Estimated construction times is 54 weeks. Estimate
construction cost range is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Also, Package 1
has the following Alternate: Alternate 1 consists of the construction
of an underground irrigation system for the center. Package 2 consists
of four new buildings. These buildings are:
Administration/Medical/Dental - Building A (9,673 GSF); Recreational -
Building D (23,091 GSF); and two new Dormitories - Building C (27,363
GSF each). Estimated construction time is 42 weeks. Estimated
construction cost range is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Plans and
Specifications will be available on March 11, 1996, from the office of
the Architect/Engineer, Lombard-Conrad Architects, 1221 Shoreline
Lane, Boise, Idaho 83702, Contact Steve Simmons (208) 345-6677 for
additional information regarding this project. Collect calls will not
be accepted. It is emphasized that requests for plans and
specifications shall be directed to the A/E firm listed above to ensure
proper handling of requests. Request must be in writing and a $100.00
refundable bid-deposit is required. This bid-deposit must be in the
form of a certified check, cashier's check, or money-order, made
payable to the U.S. Department of Labor, and submitted to the A/E at
the time of request. Requests will be answered on a first-come,
first-serve basis until supplies are exhausted. For requests made after
the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether
payment of a fee is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed
the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges.
A pre-bid walk-thru is scheduled March 28, 1996, at 9:00 a.m. local
time. Bid-opening date is April 23, 1996, at 2:00 p.m. local time. This
a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification
