Water Supply ( GOGCWS), in the Arab Republic of Egypt, requests bids
from U.S Firms who can qualify through experience in providing similar
equipment. The required vehicles are three (3) 11 - ton capacity
stationary bed trucks with turbocharged diesel water-cooled engine, two
(2) 11 - ton capacity hydraulic turbocharged diesel water- cooled
engine, two (2) 11-ton capacity hydraulic dump bed trucks with
turbocharged diesel water -cooled engine, and associated stationary bed
and hydraulic dump bed truck spare parts to be furnished and delivered
to CIP Destination Alexandria, Arab Republic of Egypt. Bidder must
ensure that the vehicle manufacturer has dealers to supply spare parts
and service in Arab Republic of Egypt. A Fixed Price Host Country
Contract with GOGCWS is anticipated. Payment will be made in U.S
Dollars by USAID/ Cairo through a direct letter of commitment under
USAID Grant No. 263-1093. Interested firms may obtain copies of the
Invitation for Bid Document (IFB 23485-03J5) from Black & Veatch
International : P.O. Box 8405, Kansas City, Missouri 64114: Attn. : K
R Maunz, Fax No. : (913)-339-3401. The IFB document is expected to be
released 15 days after publication of this notice. Bidders will be
given 45 days from the date of issuance of the IFB to prepare and
submit their bids. A public bid opening will be held at the time, date
and adress specified in the IFB document. Late bids will not be
considered. Bids must remain valid and open for acceptance for a
minimum of 120 days from the date set for bid opening. The Government
of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Agency for International
Development encourage and welcome in this activity the participation,
to, the fullest extent possible, of minorities and women both as
individuals and as members of contracting or sub- contracting firms. In
this respect, it is anticipated that the prime contractor will make
