MK-Ferguson Company (MK-F), is currently performing work under a Department of Energy Prime Contract at the Weldon Spring Site Remedial Action Project (WSSRAP) located in St. Charles, Missouri. Qualified sources are being sought for the supply of an XRF analyzer that is capable of detecting a wide range of metals in ppm levels including arsenic at (45 ppm), total chromium (90 ppm), chromium VI (90 ppm), lead (240 ppm), and thallium (16 ppm). The instrument of choice should be equipped with an X-ray excitation source and a solid state detector. It shall be capable of analyzing samples at an appropriate 300 seconds/sample run time, with multiple sample loading features. Instrument shall generate no hazardous or radioactive waste during its use, and be relatively compact occupying limited space. Provisions shall include a lease agreement with option to buy (SIC 3826). It is anticipated that award will be in the form of a firm fixed price purchase order.
