PMSS/PDMSS (NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE) The Air Force will host an
Industry Day, tentatively scheduled for 11 Mar 96, to discuss our
requirement for services to support the operation and maintenance of
the Program Management Support System (PMSS). PMSS is used by the Air
Force Materiel Command (AFMC) Materiel Systems Group (MSG) and the
Joint Logistics Systems Center (JLSC). A demonstration of
representative applications will be also conducted. The system has been
installed at over 25 DOD sites throughout the united States. The
current PMSS core application software is the Robbins-Gioia's
proprietary Control and Analysis Tool (CAT). Other applications have
been written in the CAT language as modular applications which are
peripheral to the PMSS and serve a variety of requirements. These
include the JLSC's Programmed Depot Maintenance Support System (PDMSS)
module and Integrated Management System (IMS), as well as the MSG's
Financial Management Module (FMM), Contract Management Module (CMM)(
Program and Resource Management Application (PRMA), and other
applications. Current program management support combines the expertise
of on-site contractor support with automated program management tools
to help develop program plans and schedules, track technical, schedule,
and cost progress, and conduct ''what if'' analyses. Additional
functions include critical path networking, resource and configuration
management, and high resolution graphics. The Government requires
continued support for all application software, including potential
modifications; documentation; training; telecommunications support:
hardware maintenance of two (2) Central Sites located at Wright-
Patterson AFB (MSG and JLSC); and supplies. Travel is required.
Anticipated labor categories include systems, program, cost and budget
analysts; systems engineers; configuration managers; logistics
specialists; database administrators; and data entry technicians. All
information concerning this acquisition, including the Draft Request
For Proposal (DRFP) and final RFP, will be available on Hanscom Air
