To provide service to furnish all labor, travel, testing, testing equipment parts and materials to inspect, calibrate, and repair boiler controls, boiler auxliary regulators, controllers, recorders and equipment instrumentations at Bldg.'s 506 and 3013 for the following equipment: Boiler no. 3 is located at bldg. 3013, made by Bigelow Boiler Co., rated at 50,000 lbs/hr, saturated steam water tube boiler using no. 2 fuel oil with the following: Burner Management System, Fireye Flame Monitor Control EP160, Feedwater Regulator, by Leslie, Size 2, Class DD06, Serial No. 7314782 with level matic pilot Controller, Type LAP SN 723-923-2, Auxiliary deaerator with make up water regulator and deaerator pressure regulator; Boiler no. 4, located at bldg. 506, made by Riley Stoker, rated at 50,000 lbs/hr, superheated steam at 430 psig, water tube boiler, capable of using no. 6 fuel oil and natural gas with the following: Oxygen Analyzer, Fuel Oil Control Valve, Atomizing Steam Control Valve, Feedwater Regulator, Smoke Indicator by Combustion Control Division Fireye type 27VH6, Single Loop Digital Controller, Micro 352 by Moore Product Co.: Boiler numbers 5 and 6, identical 4 drum water tube boilers, manufactured by Combustion Engineering, are located at bldg. 506. Each boiler is rated at 160,000 lbs/hr, superheated steam at 430 psig capable of using no. 6 fuel oil and natural gas with the following (for each boiler): Feedwater Regulator by Bailey Meter Co., Valve Size 40, type VBA-152X, Style 6060F, SN H82386 with Bailey I/P Electro-Pneumatic Positioner, Fuel Oil Control Valve by Fisher Governor Co., Size 2, SN 2572235, Type 507 with I/P Electro Pneumatic Positioner, Smoke Indicator, by Electronic Corp. of America, Fireye, Type 27VH6, Model 1000, Three Electronic Recorders, by Foxboro Co., Model ESAZIAN for Drum level and Feedwater Flow, Steam Flow and Air Flow, and Plant Steam Pressure, Actuator Positioner, Electro Pneumatic by Bailey Co. SN 004420.01, Air Servo Cylinder Model: LFCOCH01B Air Servo Valve, one Actuator Position for each boiler Forced Draft Fan Inlet damper and Inducted Draft Fan Gyrol Fluid Drive Speed Changer: Single Loop Digital Controller, MICRO 352 by Moore Products Company. There is one controller for each boiler furnace pressure control, combustion air flow control, feedwater flow/drum level control, fuel oil valve/firing control and plant water steam pressure control: Leeds and Northrop Speedomax Temperature Recorder: Bldg. 506 Auxiliaries include: Make up steam 60 and 125 psig steam pressure regulators, including desuperheater, Deaerators water level and steam pressure regulators, Superheaters 430 psig, 430/60, 60 and 125 psig supply line temperature regulators, Closed Feedwater heaters level controllers, Condenser condensate level controllers: Gas Train and related equipment: The work consists of furnishing all labor, travel, testing testing equipment parts and materials to perform maintenance, repair and reconditioning, including resetting of valves and gages, regulators, purging of natural gas carrying pipelines from outside of the metering cage up to, and including, the gas burner for boiler numbers 4, 5, and 6 located in bldg. 506. Currently boiler numbers 4, 5 and 6 are operable on gas/oil dual fuel capability. The government intends to operate boilers on gas during the heating season to supply the major portion of steam on the installation. The contractor, upon receiving a service call, shall have sufficient material/supplies and equipment available to complete the maintenance and repair work in a manner which results in minimum downtime for the boilers.
