The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Detachment Washington D.C. intends to purchase transportation services of personal property within the cities of Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Franklin, and Suffolk (Area I) and between Area I cities and the cities of Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg, Poquoson (includes Ft. Eustis, Ft. Monroe, Langley AFB, and Yorktown NWS) and counties of James City, Glouster, and York Virginia (Area II). Outbound Services (Schedule I-Area I), Inbound Services (Schedule II-Area I) and Intra-City and Intra-Area Moves (Schedule III-Areas I&II) to include packing, unpacking,loading, containerization, coopering, weighing, drayage and storage of household goods and unaccompanied baggage. Drayage beyond the contract area of performance not to exceed 100 miles. The government intends to award a multiple fixed unit price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract. Award will be made to the low priced, technically acceptable, responsible offeror by lot. The primary outbound contractor will be required to maintain up to 250 government owned containers. The first alternate outbound contractor will be required to maintain up to 125 government owned containers. The time, date and place of the pre-proposal conference will be specified in the solicitation. The proposed contract is subject to the Service Contract Act.
