The principal components of the work include: a. Installation of the system: (1) removing sediment from the existing pump sump; (2) installing four Government-furnished vertical-shaft pumping units in the existing pump sump; (3) installing Government-furnished steel pipe, valves, and accessories; (4) removing and storing pipe caps and plywood covers for pumping plant intake; (5) installing Government-furnished catwalk, staircase, chain link fence fabric, and miscellaneous equipment; (6) Rehabilitating an intake trench to the pumping plant from the river channel; (7) installing Government-furnished floating trash barrier across the entrance to the intake channel; (8) furnishing new chain link fabric, wire ropes, and anchors to attach to the existing chain link fabric; (9) performing earthwork to restore the sub-grade and bedding for the steel pipe; (10) rehabilitating the existing pumping plant access road; and (11) furnishing and installing float switch for low level shutoff system in the pump sump: b. Removal and storage of the system: (1) removing and storing the four pumping units; (2) removing and storing the steel pipe, valves, and accessories; (3) removing and storing the catwalk, staircase, chain link fence fabric, floating trash barrier, and miscellaneous equipment; (4) re-installing the pipe caps and plywood cover for the pumping plant intake; and (5) removing and storing the float switch and low level shutoff system. All sources responding to this synopsis shall submit information relating to business status, including as to whether small, large, minority-owned, and/or woman-owned. This acquisition is an unrestricted procurement. The small business size standard for a concern, including its affiliates, is not to exceed $17 million in average annual receipts for its preceding 3 fiscal years.
