Campbell, (703)235-4375, Contracting Officer, H.Laurie Lewandowski, (703)235-2121 The Forest Service intends to acquire its Land Mobile Radio needs through multiple award requirement type contracts. Contract term will be from approximately June 1, 1996 through May 31, 1997 with an option to renew for one additional one year term. Items include portables, mobiles, base stations, repeaters, aircraft mounted FM units, and self-contained small remote control consoles. Requirement is under a Qualified Products List and all units bid must be tested and approved prior to award. Potential bidders are requested to provide equipment for testing and evaluation by the Forest Service Electronics Lab, 1621 N. Kent St., Room 808 RP-E, Arlington, VA 22209. Contract award date will be approximately May 15, 1996. Product must be certified under the QPL prior to award. Equipment must be submitted for testing prior to the date set for bid opening. Shipping to and from the Forest Service test lab is the responsibility of the potential bidder. Equipment submitted for test and evaluation must be coordinated with Ralph Flora, (703) 235-2944, prior to shipment to ensure all specific requirement will be met for the test and evaluation.
