DUE 032796 POC Monique D. Woodard, Contract Specialist, 301-496-6546.
It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to negotiate
on a sole source basis upon the authority cited in 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1)
and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1) with Infodata Systems, Inc., 12150 Monument
Drive, Suite 400, Fairfax, Virginia 22033, for field maintenance
services for a three year period on the Inquire/Text which is a
proprietary software product of Infodata Systems, Inc. The field
maintenance services to be performed will include new releases of the
Inquire/Text software package, patches for the existing software and

design problems, query formulation and analysis, operational
difficulties, and the identification of possible product errors. Since
the Inquire/Text is a proprietary software package, NLM has determined
that Infodata Systems, Inc. is the only firm capable of providing the
field maintenance on this product. All responsible sources may submit
