The Volpe Center plans to solicit a sole-source simplified acquisition from the Eagle Research Group, Inc., Arlington, VA for the development of a tire deflation system for use at U.S. ports of entry. The system shall have the following capabilities: (1) be capable of embedding objects in tires to deflate after the vehicle has driven over the deflator (2) system must be portable (3) system must be modular and (4) system must be able to be actuated from a remote location.
