58 -- SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETATION EQUIPMENT DUE 031996. POC: R. Davis, Contract Specialist. Marlies Drechsel, Contracting Officer. Andrews AFB, Md is seeking potential suppliers of Simultaneous Interpretation Equipment, to replace an outdated system during FY `96. This procurement for technical data and capabilities only at this time. This system to include, but not limited to the following: Microphone System, Language Interpretation with switchboard, control and status monitoring. Switchboard shall be capable of supporting eight languages using 99 microphones simultaneously through two series busses. Entire system shall be portable and rugged enough to withstand worldwide deployment and frequent disassembly and reassemble; shipping container required for all equipment; shall include all cabling and accessories necessary for installation and operation; microphone system may be hardwired, preferably in series; system must have capability to include receiving via infrared transmitters. DESIRED ACCESSORIES: Receive capability for 250 delegated with back-up system and headsets. Portable sound proof booths for interpreters to include microphones, headsets and interpreter units that interface with the entire system. Potential suppliers must provide two (2) copies of their latest published price lists, catalogs, descriptive literature, and technical data in support of the proposed equipment.
