Institutes of Health intends to negotiate with the World Health
Organization, Geneva, Switzerland, for a contract to maintain and
coordinate research and training activities in relation to the
prevention of blindness and the utilization of eye care services in
developing countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Pacific.
The study will, in part, assess national blindness prevention programs
and shall include analyses of interventions and outcomes as well as
quality of life and cost-effectiveness. The contractor shall develop
comprehensive research protocols and shall obtain required clearances
of protocols with all national authorities involved. See Number Notes
