Provide all parts, labor, equipment and materials necessary to
accomplish the following work at U.S.Coast Guard Base Ketchikan, Alaska
on a Koehring Mobile Crane model Lorain #LRT 33A, 33 ton PCSA Class
10-108. Rebuild Lorain LRT 330 s/n #90180 turntable assembly, swing
speed and swing reduction unit. This shall include the main ring gear,
slip rings, hold down bolts, associated hoses and wiring in accordance
with manufacturer's recommendations as a minimum. Provide a record of
inspection after installation of above parts; included in this
inspection shall be a listing of tolerances on the main ring gear. A
Purchase Order will be issued pursuant to the written request for
quotation. This is a Small Purchasee/Small Business Set-Aside. The work
required by this Request for Quotation is identified as Industry
Standard #7699, and applicable size standard is $3.5 million dollars in
annual receipts for the past three years. The time for completion is 21
calendar days from date of award of a Purchase Order. All responsible
sources may submit a quote, by mail or facsimile (WITH HARD COPIES
MAILED TO THIS OFFICE), which shall be considered by the U.S. Coast
Guard Request for Quotation documents must be submitted and received by
this office on or about 26 March 1996. For Minority Women-Owned and
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation
(DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization(OSDBU),
has a program to assist minority women-owned and disadvantaged business
enterprises to acquire short term working capital and bonding
assistance for transportation related contracts. This is applicable to
any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT bonding
assistance program enables firms to apply for bid. Performance and
Payment Bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80%
guarantee of the bid bond amount to a surety losses. Loans are
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum
