(202) 307-3223. The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking bids for the
maintenance of seven passenger elevators and one freight elevator of an
existing ten story government building located at 320 First Street,
N.W., Washington, DC. Contractor will be required to provide all labor
and materials necessary to complete the required maintenance
schedules. Work includes but is not limited to monthly, quarterly,
annual inspections of the machine room, pits, motors, geared machines,
brakes, car gates, speed governors, lighting, hydraulic machines,
guides, car tops, emergency lighting, solid state components and
circuit boards, leveling, selector, controller, hoist-way doors and
buffers. All work is to comply with all National Standards,
Governmental, local, and ASME/ANSI A17.1 elevator safety codes. All
contractors desiring consideration will be required to have extensive
knowledge of the District of Columbia Government Building Codes,
General Services Administration requirements, and previous and
comparable experience in elevators maintenance. Contractors desiring
consideration shall submit request for solicitation in writing within
30 after the date of this synopsis. The requirement will be a 100%
set-aside for small business. The contract will be issued with a base
year and four option years. All responsible sources may submit a offer
