K -- MODIFICATION AND REPAIR OF THE MK V SPECIAL OPERATIONS CRAFT (SOC) TEST ARTICLE POC Donna L. Moran, Contract Specialist, 813-840-5446, or fax 813-840-5481 The United States Special Operations Command has a requirement for modifications and repairs to the MK V Special Operations Craft (SOC) ''Test Article'' to insure that it more accurately reflects the ''production'' system being acquiried under Contract No. MDA911-95-C-0004. Additionally, documentatiion updates resulting from the modifications, testing, and engineering design are required. The MK V SOC ''Test Article'' being modified is the craft procured under Contract MDA911-93-C-0015 which is used for training on the MK V SOC Program. The modifications and repairs are to include the following: Ripout the old console and electronics and replace it with a console and electronics similar to the production craft; ripout the cockpit deck hatch; ripout the four existing crew seats and replace with seats and arrangement similar to the production craft; install 120 Vac lighting system similar to that in the production craft; replace the existing main engine simplex seawater strainers with appropriately sized duplex strainers; replace steering hydraulic hoses; modify trim tab system to function like the production craft; replace the cockpit side windows with sliding windows; install defogging/defrosting devices for all forward facing windows; provide chilled/heated air to the four crew seats from console mounted nozzles; procure and install searchlight and signal light and install associated receptacles simiilar to those on the production craft; replace existing cockpit hardtop with a one piece hardtop; and install pneumatic tire assemblies to the existing maintenance cradle similar to those on the production units.
