Parker, Contracting Officer, AMSMI-AC-CBT, 205-876-4201, (PCC) Synopsis No. 0086-96. TOW 2 Subsystem Support Equipment (T2SS-SE) Block 1 Modification Effort. This requirement is restricted to Hughes Aircraft Company, Electro Optical & Data Systems Group, El Segundo, CA. The basic modification effort consists of one lot of existing hardware to be modified to a single configuration baseline by incorporating selected engineering changes to improve reliability and maintainability. This modification effort also consists of a 12-month option period for one lot of existing hardware to be modified; and warranty. The hardware to be modified consists of the following: TOW 2 Test Controller; TOW 2 Day/Night Sight Collimator; TOW 2 Basic Sight Assembly - Support Equipment Control Unit; and TOW 2 Basic Sight Assembly - Support Equipment Holding Fixture. The period of performance is 20 months; 8 months after contract award for completion of the basic effort; and a 12-month option period for one lot of hardware to be modified. A synopsis is issued for primary purposes of improving small business access to contracting and subcontracting opportunities.
