Army Atlanta Contracting Center intends to award a firm fixed price requirements contract for packaging material (film) in a clear color. The film shall be in rolls with a 13 inch width and a repeat length of 10 inches, both measurements within +/- 1/16''. The rolls shall have a 3 inch (ID) core. The gauge shall be equivalent in strength to a coextrusion 4.50 Mil thick or a lamination process such as the 1.75 blended Olefin. A nylon inner layer is required to create a taste barrier. Each roll shall have 3,000 impressions. Each roll shall be individually wrapped for sanitation with protectors on the ends of the rolls to prevent damage to the core. Each impression shall have printing and a design. Printing shall be in two colors (black and white). If the printing is done on the top layer, an over print varnish will be applied to protect the printing and to prevent smearing and ink removal. A Live Test Demonstration of the packaging material on General Packaging Equipment Company's Form/Fill/Seal machine, model 70LCM, will be required.
