U.S. EPA, Office of Air and Radiation, Technology Development Support
Group, requires a contractor to design, fabricate, test, assemble,
maintain and assess conventional and alternative fueled engines, fuel
systems, automotive propulsion systems and components thereof.
Alternate fuels to be used include ethanol, methanol, natural gas,
reformulated diesel, and reformulated gasoline. The contractor shall
provide all the necessary equipment, personnel, and facilities to
perform engineering tasks and testing of the requisitve vehicles,
engines, fuel systems, and requisite components. Specifics regarding
engines, engine components and fuel systems, fuels, types of tests,
procedures, data handling, and reporting will be defined in individual
work assignments. The contemplated period of performance consists of
a 12-month base term plus two 12-month options to extend the contract
term. Each term will consist of a base level of effort of 4,000 direct
labor hours and options to increase the level of effort by up to 8,000
direct labor hours. All responsible sources may submit a proposal. All
