The project is identified as a Cultural Resource Inventory Survey of portions of the Wayne National Forest, Ohio. The work is to be conducted within all three main areas of the Forest - the Ironton Ranger District and the Athens and Marietta Units of the Athens Ranger District. The objectives of the project shall be: (1) to locate and identify all cultural resources judged to be over 50 years of age; (2) to provide a complete cultural resource inventory of the area; and (3) to make a preliminary evaluation of significance. To accomplish these objectives, the Contractor shall review existing sources of information on cultural resources in the project area, conduct a complete coverage field reconnaissance, analyze the results of this investigation, and prepare a cultural resource report documenting this information.
