Smith (301) 619-2381 (Site Code DAMD17) The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to negotiate a contract for maintenance (hardware, application and operating software), support services (e.g., deinstallation, movement, reinstallation and training) for continued operations, and replacement parts on an as required basis for the Central Processing and Distribution (CPD) System at up to 30 Medical Treatment Facilities in both the continental United States and overseas. No new CPD systems will be purchased and no new development work will be accomplished. The term of the proposed contract is a base period of twelve months with four additional option periods of twelve months each (total 60 months). The contract will ensure continued CPD maintenance support until its scheduled replacement by the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) material management system. The number of operational CPD systems at the existing sites will be gradually phased out throughout the term of the contract. This solicitation will be issued approximately March 15, 1996.
