The United States Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific proposes to contract for the overhaul and repair of Escher-Wyss propellers for POLAR CLASS ICEBREAKERS for one year with four one year options. Contractors must possess valid Escher-Wyss license for performing repairs or demonstrate technical capability to perform the complex repairs required. Overhaul includes propeller disassembly, inspection, repair of propellers using submerged ARC welding, heat treatment of blades, non destructive testing, and machining to original tolerances. The performance period will begin on 01 October 1996. The primary job site location for the contract must be within 1,200 road miles of Portland, OR. (0057)
