Woods, 301/443-0043 The purpose of this procurement is to provide the services necessary for nondisruptive continuation of current placement and treatment of approximately Nine (9) federally sponsored neruopsychiatric patients now receiving care in tow private long term care facilities in the Commonweath of Kentucky. These patients are seriously ill and advancing in age. These patients have been institutionalized in the Commonwealth of Kentucky for more than 20 years, and relocating them outside the boundaries of the Commonwealth would introduce unnecessary adverse effect on their condition. The Commonwealth of Kentucky has demonstrated that it is the only organization capable of providing the coordination of the Statewide health, mental health, social and rehabilitative services, and financial institutions required to insure uninterruptive therapeutic relationships and clinical services to meet the psychiatric and physical needs of these patients without introducing adverse effect of their condition. Accordingly, it is the intent of the Center for Mental Health Services to develop a thirty-six (36) month, cost-reimbursment, completion type contract on an other than full and open competition, consistent with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Section 6.302-1 Requests shall be forwarded to the attention of Kristen Mistichelli, Contract Specialist, Contract Management Unit, Center for Mental Health Services, 5600 Fishers Lane, Parklawn Building, Room 15C-17, Rockville, Maryland 20857.
