The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) This project involves demolition of approximately 2 CY of reinforced concrete operation deck floor slab in the Intake Structure to enlarge two (2) gatewell openings from 9' - 6'' x 3' - 6'' to 12' - 0'' x 3' - 6'', provide 20 SF of heavy duty steel cover plates, and 20 LF of 3' - 6'' high steel handrails. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a March 15, 1996. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available.
