The 30th Space Wing, Vandenberg AFB, CA intends to award a 5 year contract to begin performance on 01 Sep 1996 for basewide tree service on Vandenberg AFB CA. Basewide tree service will include tree/bush trimming, tree/bush removal, stump/root removal, tree/brush spraying, tree/brush aeration and tree planting within the boundaries of Vandenberg Air Force Base. We anticipate this requirement will be set-aside for small business. The standard industrial code for this acquisition is 0783 ($3.5 Million). The projected release date of the RFP is 15 Apr 96 with a pre-proposal conference and site visit scheduled for 30 Apr 96 at Vandenberg AFB, CA. You may request a copy of an advance acquisition package to be released 4 Mar 96. When you have reviewed the Statement of Work you are encouraged to meet with us for one-on-one discussions to provide us with your assessment of this approach and recommend changes or improvements.
