N -- DESIGN, FURNISH, AND INSTALL 35MM MOTION PICTURE EQUIPMENT, HOOVER DAM VISITOR FACILITIES, BOULDER CANYON PROJECT, NEVADA SOL 1425-6-SI-30-12070 POC Ms. Sonja Poindexter, Procurement Technician, at 702-293-8569; Synopsis No. 96-16 The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement to design, furnish, and install anamorphic 35mm motion picture equipment for the Hoover Dam Visitor Facilities. The principal features of the work include: (a) Designing 35mm motion picture projection and sound system within the constraints of the existing theater and projection room; and (b) Furnishing and installing the 35mm motion picture equipment including: (1) 35mm projection system. All 35mm projection system equipment shall be designed for conversion to 70mm operation; (2) Sound system; (3) Controls, accessories, and all other items as necessary for a complete and operable installation of motion picture equipment; and (4) Connection to the Master Show Controller. The location of this project is at Hoover Dam which is located on the Colorado River approximately 7 miles northeast of Boulder City, Nevada, and 32 miles from Las Vegas, Nevada. The work is located in Clark County, Nevada. The presolicitation notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is April 1, 1996. The estimated date for receipt of bids is May 1, 1996. This solicitation is a total Small Business Set-Aside. For this acquisition the standard industrial classification code is 3861 and the small business size standard is 500 employees.
