R -- SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE & SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE INTEGRATED FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (FMS) Sol EMV-96-RP-0001, Due 032796, POC Mrs. Sandi Nixon, Contract Specialist, 540/542-2303. The Gov't intends to award a contract to Advanced Integrated Technology (AIT), a Small/Disadvantaged concern, for software maintenance & support svcs for the Facilities Management System (FMS), located at FEMA's Mt. Weather Emergency Assistance Ctr (MWEAC), Bluemont, VA. During 9/90, AIT developed/installed an integrated FMS at FEMA's MWEAC, which included a modular design system generated in COBOL utilizing DEC's Record Mgt Svcs file. AIT was required to develop/utilize custom software applications (designed in modules) to incorporate the functional requirements of the various elements (i.e., executive, managerial & administrative members) included in the FMS. The software module development entailed functional validation/system design review, in-progress development reviews, database development, transition to automated system, user training, & specific user documentation applicable to each activity included in the FMS. The FMS became operational in 10/93, however, continued Contractor support is required due to changes, modifications, and enhancements, identified by system users, which are necessary to achieve system success. Other support required will entail trouble call assistance to system users during the outside normal working hours. Period of performance to include base contract & 3 option years.
