200 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Room S-4203, Washington, D.C. 20210 R -- TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO STATES IMPLEMENTING SCHOOL-TO-WORK
SYSTEMS. SOL RFI-DAA-96-32 DUE 031196 POC Lorraine H. Saunders,
Contracting Officer, (202) 219-8698. The Departments of Labor and
Education jointly administer the School-to-Work Opportunities Act of
1994. Joint administration of the Act is carried out by the National
School-to-Work Office. The School-to-Work office seeks to provide
States and their local partners with access to technical assistance
that is based on their individually determined needs, a choice in
selecting appropriate experts, and financial support to purchase the
services that they require. A technical assistance resource bank of
School-to-Work experts was established in June of 1995. The States and
their local partners utilize individual lines of credit to purchase
technical assistance services from this resource bank. Through this
Request for Information, the National School-to-Work office seeks to
expand the resource bank by identifying additional experts with proven
ability to provide high quality, timely, technical assistance to
States implementing School-to-Work systems. No Federal Government
contract, cooperative agreement, grant or any other financial
arrangement shall result from a selection to this bank. Requests for
Information will be available upon written requests only, approximately
15 days after due date of publication on a first come, first served
basis, while supplies lasts. Telephone requests will not be honored.
For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting
Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The fee
will not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the solicitation
documents. Closing date for receipt of proposals is April 10, 1996, at
2:00 p.m. local time. Request must cite RFI-DAA-96-32 and must include
two (2) self-addressed, gummed labels. (0058) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0109 19960228\R-0021.SOL)
