206/615-2454. Work to be accomplished includes furnishing all labor,
materials and equipment necessary to complete the replacement of an
existing electrical generator set and controls with new exterior
packaged electrical generator set, including interior demolition and
new steel stud framed drywall and plaster walls and ceilings, new floor
and wall surfaces, new doors, toilet fixtures and accessories, and new
water piping, drainage and vent piping for accessible patient and
staff toilets, and to replace interior lights, to install door hold
open devices and to install new freezeless wall hydrants at the Fort
Yates IHS Hospital in Fort Yates, N.D.; to provide an exterior
accessible entry/exit doorway to the lower floor including excavation,
retaining walls and pavements, and minor interior alteration of the
Radiology Room at the McLaughlin IHS Health Center; the work will also
provide exterior demolition, new exterior concrete ramps and
pavements, interior demolition and new wood framed interior walls, new
ceilings, floors and wall surfaces, new and reinstalled doors, toilet
fixtures and accessories, and new water piping, drainage and vent
piping and related work to PHS Indian Health Stations on sites in
Cannon Ball, N.D., Bullhead and Wakpala, S.D. The plans and
specifications include documents dated 1992 with standard ``English''
units and documents dated 1995 with International System of Units (SI)
(Metric) metric equivalent measurements. The estimated price is
between $250,000 and $500,000. The period of performance is 240
calendar days. The proposed contract listed herein is set aside for
100% Indian-owned, controlled, and operated firms under the authority
of the Buy Indian Act. In accordance with the Public Health Service
Acquisition Regulation Paragraph 380.503(e), not more than fifty (50)
percent of the work to be performed under a prime contract awarded
pursuant to the Buy Indian Act shall be subcontracted to other than
Indian firms. For this purpose, work to be performed does not include
the provision of materials, supplies, or equipment. A pre-solicitation
notice is being issued concurrently with this synopsis. Bid documents
