Work includes but is not limited to removing existing paint/epoxy coatings (lead containing) from both interior and exterior tank surfaces and apply new epoxy coatings; replacing the floating roof seal, drain lines/valve and eave vent screens including new epoxy coatings; repairing steel railing and kick plate; installing Government furnished valves, repairs to tank bottom; replacing 3/4 inch drain pipe and shut-off valve; replacing sight gauge tape and enclosed housing and combined Magnetic Flux Exclusion (MFE) and Ultrasonic (UT) testing inspection to determine bottom plate thickness. Award will be made only to contractors who are on the latest Air Force qualified Tank Cleaning Contractors List. Prospective contractors who are not on the list may apply by sending the request for placement along with a contractor's statement (see Section D, para 12-17, AFM 85-16) to HQPACAF/DEEB 25 E ST SUITE D-306, HICKAM AFB HI 96853-5412. A solicitation will be issued on or about 25 Mar 96 in compliance with Public Law 100-656, Business Opportunity Development Program Act of 1988, establishing a test of unrestricted competition.
