Upgrade air conditioning system at Building 988 for electronic data processing spaces at Fort Irwin, California. Air conditioning units shall be self-contained type units with remote condensing units and be designed and constructed for automatic control of space conditions. Units shall be provided with necessary fans, air filters, humidifiers, supplemental heat and cabinet construction, ductwork and required accessories for complete functional system. Installation of new air conditioning system shall be done in such a way that the existing computer room air conditioning equipment in each room can remain in service until the new system is installed and in service. The government intends to eliminate the need for major shut-downs during construction and maintain the conditioned spaces current cooling load equipment. Contract range is estimated between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Competition is unrestricted. Government intends to issue a solicitation on or about 08 April 1996 to obtain a Firm Fixed Price contract.
