The project consists of 1) the installation of polyurethane foam (PUF) to specifications into an approximately rectangular collapse hole measuring 25' x 30' x 38' deep, 2) the construction of a replication of a timbered shaft for historic interpretation purposes (shaft replication will measure 8' x 8' x 5' deep) 3) the closure of three small mine openings with PUF and 4) the cleanup of PUF equipment and refuse. All work is to be done within Joshua Tree Natinal Park. Site visit will be required. Access to site limited by severe road conditions requiring four-wheel drive vehicles.
