the synopsis N00024-96-R-2000 which was first synopsized on 07 February
1996. The synopsis identified the Naval Sea Systems Command's intention
to procure eight (8) steel 15 Meter Work Boats (plus or minus one).
This modification to the 07 February 1996 synopsis is to detail the
information not included in the 07 February 1996 synopsis and extend
the due date for receipt of proposals to 07 June 1996. The Naval Sea
Systems Command intends to procure eight (8) steel 15 Meter Work Boats
(plus or minus one). The construction of the 15 Meter Work Boats will
be in accordance with Navy design, NAVSEA T9008-CP-SBS-010/15WB dated
28 September 1995. Delivery will be required to the Defense Logistics
Agency, Defense Distribution Depot Barstow in Barstow, CA, and the
Fleet and Industrial Supply Center in Williamsburg, VA. Delivery of the
first work boat will commence (14) months after contract award with one
work boat delivered every other month thereafter. This procurement is
a 100% small business set aside. Since this is a non-developmental item
acquisition, the Government does not intend to use Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR) Part 12 in this acquisition. Performance and payment
bonds will be required. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVSEA
Contracts World Wide Web home page on 05 April 1996 at the following
address: http://sea02www.navsea.navy.mil/. The subject solicitation
package can be located by its solicitation number and downloaded. Due
to the fact that there are aperture cards for the Navy design that
cannot be transmitted electronically, offerors are advised that they
must notify the POC either electronically or at the mailing address
listed herein to request the aperture cards. The aperture cards will be
mailed the same day the solicitation is posted on the NAVSEA Contracts
World Wide Web home page. A limited number of paper copies will be
available on a first come, first served basis beginning 05 April 1996
at NAVSEA Industry Liaison Office, Room 5E40 in Zachary Taylor Building
