The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD, has a requirement for a rotary screw air compressor. The rotary screw air compressor shall have the following salient characteristics: 1000 cfm airflow capacity at discharge pressure of 100 psig An ASME air/oil reservoir and a package mounted moisture separator and trap An oil/cooler/aftercooler and a water cooled shell and tube heat exchanger A heavy duty, 5 micron, dry canister-type inlet air filter A 10 micron, full flow ail filter An aftercooler and an automatic blowdown valve muffler. The control system of the compressor shall be solid state, touch pad, microprocessor based controller or equal. The motor shall meet the following salient characteristics: 190-220 horsepower 460 volts 3 phase 60 Hz 1.15 SF NEMA B frame Be D-flange mounted to the compressor to ensure permanent alignment. The motor and compressor unit shall be mounted to a rigid steel base with vibration isolators and have fork lift slots. The dimensions of the compressor shall not exceed 9'6'' long by 6' wide by 6' high.
